We had so much fun on tour these past three days and the memories we made we’re priceless. It was sad saying goodbye to our new friends This is the Good Fight last night, and the last few days we spent getting to know them definitely helped build some awesome friendships. Support these guys as much as you can, they can use your help getting a new mirror for their damn bus.
We made an unplanned trip to Rochester again after a show in CT fell through at the very last minute, and our other friends The Vicious Guns, from Canada, were not told by either the booking agency or the venue.
SIDENOTE: Bands, please dont work with Octave Revolt Booking. They litterally cancelled this show the day of and those poor dudes lost out on $200 in tolls and gas money getting there only to find out the show wasnt happening.
In conclusion, we took a major detour in order to stay on the road and ended up playing for some awesome fans at Boulder Coffee Co. which ended up being pretty rad, because we pretty much we’re told to take over the venues Open Mic night that day,and we did. Pittsfield MA was equally as fun,we found an awesome lake to hang out at before the show with TITGF and got ourselves a little refreshed after an awful sleeping arrangement from the night before. We woke up at 7 AM with the 88 degree heat beating down on our faces in the back of the car. (On a second sidenote: sleeping in your car sucks on tour. help us get a van, please! http://www.feedthemuse.net/thebrightlightmotion) We jammed at this record store called Rebel Sound Records and met a few cool kids as well as an angry convenient store manager who thought i stole some Cheese. Mike and I met this woman named Cydnee at a rest stop who was an awesome singer/songwriter from the 70’s who was on the run from some crazy stuff. To protect her, id rather not go into too much detail about her story, but seriously, it was X-files crazy. We loved Vermont, and want to give props to them for always being really great to us. Played a great show there, and met up with some awesome hometown friends, and eventually said goodbye to TITGF. After a few days of long long driving because of stupid detours, its good to be home and relax until a busy month of July. Hope to see the rest of you out at some shows soon!
